The Safety Board's call for new intelligent truck technology gets some in-depth coverage on CNN's website.

The Industry Watch section of the CNN website provided a fairly in-depth article on the National Transportation Safety Board’s analysis of crashes, which ultimately led the Board to call for NHTSA to require collision avoidance systems on new trucks.

The Eaton VORAD system is mentioned, of course; TRW Automotive, Delphi Automotive, DaimlerChrysler, and Haldex Brake Systems are listed as other suppliers of such systems. 

CNN notes that the market for ACC, Collision Warning, and headway control systems will grow to $2.4B by 2010, according to a TRW announcement.
