Murtha Joins ITS America to Fill Long-Vacant Telematics & IVI Post

ITS America achieved a key goal last month with Suzanne Murtha taking over the helm as Director of Telematics & IVI.

With Suzanne Murtha taking over the helm as Director of Telematics & IVI last month, ITS America has achieved a key goal.  Ms. Murtha will fill the position left vacant when Eric Traube moved to Honda R&D last December.

Ms. Murtha will become the technical lead in areas related to Telematics, Crash Avoidance Technology and the IVI Program, Driver Distraction & Human Factors, and in general will be ITS America's automotive technology champion.  She will be lead staff support to the Society's Automotive, Telecommunications, and Consumer Electronics Forum, as well as the Vehicles Program Section.

Ms. Murtha comes from Strategy Analytics where she served as director of North American Automotive and Telematics Services for the past two years.  "Her understanding and experience with OEM's, Tier 1 suppliers, and wireless providers will bring much needed depth to the ITS America Team," said ITS America Vice President Steve Kuciemba.

Prior to Strategy Analytics, Suzanne's career has followed a path of automotive manufacturing and technology in various capacities with Providata Automotive, Standard & Poors DRI Global Automotive Group (currently DRI-WEFA), and Pricewaterhouse Coopers & Lybrand Autofacts Group.  Ms. Murtha has a BA in Philosophy from Villanova University.
